When you can’t get over your past…

“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old, Behold I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43: 18-19.

Are you constantly dwelling on your past? The mistakes you’ve made, the wrong choices you took, the things you should’ve done or not done?

Today the Lord is telling you, do not think about it, let not your heart be troubled by it. “His Mercies are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:23).
Ask the Lord to forgive you of your past, the sins you’ve committed and move on. As Paul said in Philippians 3:13 “forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.”

Move on, go forward, look ahead and look up to Jesus, and allow Him to guide you. He will move mountains for you. Is it possible to make rivers in the desert? Not for man, but for God, all things are possible. He will do it for you. If you are in the wilderness, He will make a way for you and bring you out of your wilderness. He will do wonders for you. Trust in Jesus.

Take it to Jesus:
1. Pray about it: Before you take any decision – a job change, marriage, buying a new home, investments etc. Ask your Heavenly Father, if it is in His will and then…

2. Read your Bible: Read the scriptures (systematically), to know the mind and will of God. You will know what is the right thing to do.

3. Peace: And before you take that jump ask God to give you His peace. If you have the peace of God over that decision. If God gives you the peace, then thank Him for it and launch your net into the deep.
